The last couple of years the weather hasn’t been kind to us and as a result when we’ve been able to run our sportive, rider numbers have been low.
We started to question if it was really worth running the event (with just a handful hardy of soles who braved the bad weather). The increasing cost of event insurance, hire of the hall and not knowing how much food to buy (because we had no idea how many riders would turn up) didn’t help either.
However, after serious consideration we decided to change the date to Saturday 28th March and make a fresh start at a new venue. We’ve also decided to go with route cards and gps files rather than sign the whole route, like we’ve done in the past.
With these changes we’ve been able to reduce the price to just £5!
So, join us at our annual Sportive and Choose from 90km, 68km or 38km through the beautiful lanes of North Essex and South Suffolk.
The routes will remain the same but we are starting from Boxted St Peter’s CE Primary School, across the road.
Full details of the event can be found on the British Cycling Website you can also enter via BC, if you’d like to avoid carrying cash on the day.
